FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1:ORDERS
Standard Purchase: Simply contact us in the contact section of the website, or simply send us an email expressing your interest. If a product is available we can simply organise payment, shipping/pickup/delivery and in the case of lighting there may be options in regards to globes etc.
Unavailable Product: If a product has been sold already we can easily organise a custom order of another product and you can have an active involvement in the finished product.
Custom Order: If you like the Lignum Co. style and would like to have something of your choosing made, send us an email and we will see what we can do! For more info, look in the Custom Orders section and get in contact with us at: lignumco@gmail.com
2:SHIPPING
Pick Up: Pick up can be arranged in the Northern or Western suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria.
Local Delivery: : For a small cost we can arrange personal delivery within the Melbourne region - if it can be arranged convienently there may be no delivery cost at all.
Shipping: Shipping can be arranged at the buyers cost, naturally the size of the item and delivery location will depend on the shipping cost
3:REPLACEMENT GLOBES
Lamps Only: If more than one globe is desired, Lignum Co. can supply additional globes in an order as either a backup or if more than one style is desired. If you are happy to purchase with just one globe and for any reason at a later date, Lignum Co. will be able to supply additional globes at a highly competitve price. Depending if we have the desired globes in stock, we may need to order a particular style in for you which would involve a slightly delay.
4:RETURNS
Unfortunately: Due to the nature of the items and logistics for Lignum Co. storage, customers are buying with the knowledge that they cannot return the items.
Fortunately: If you are unhappy with an aspect of the item, it may be possible to alter the item if you are in the local area though this would have an additional cost for the time involved.
5:PRICING
Cost Transparency: The pricing is based on the same model as the normal Collection items. The factors that weigh into an items pricing are:
- Cost of purchased materials use in project (Hinges, globes, sockets, switches, cords, electrical components, etc.)
- Consumables used to complete project (screws, bolts, polyurethane finish, sandpaper, drillbits, etc.)
- Time taken to complete project ($25p/h)
- Time/effort/cost of collecting timber for upcycling including dismantling process:
~ Approx. $12 for lamps
~Approx. $20 for bedside tables
~Approx. $30 for coffee/console tables
~Approx. $50+ for larger projects
